There's always something going on in the Roanoke Valley

Clean-ups will always be part of the Clean Valley Council.

Clean Valley Council has two annual Valley-wide volunteer clean-up days. Come help clean up our neighborhoods, streets, creeks and rivers!

Clean Valley Day is held each spring. When the weather begins to warm up, you will see the gloved volunteers out with their bright orange trash bags cleaning up our roadways and parks.

Fall Waterways Cleanup focuses on keeping the waterways in the Roanoke Valley clean and pristine. After all that hard work, volunteers join together for a picnic with live music to celebrate cleaner streams and rivers.

But, Clean Valley Council is so much more than cleanups!

We partner with local organization to host many other environmentally-focused events.

Earth Summit provides area high school students an opportunity to meet with local environmental professionals, explore in depth environmental issues, and engage in meaningful conversations about ways to protect our world.

Recycled Regatta & Watershed Awareness Day gives local groups the chance to experience the Roanoke River from the comfort of their own hand-crafted vessels made entirely of reclaimed materials!
