Aluminum, steel (tin) and bi-metal food and beverage containers. Foil is also acceptable in Vinton only.

Clear glass food and beverage containers.

Empty and rinse. Discard lids and rings. DO NOT break. No ceramics, mirrors, blue glass, crystal, milk glass, dishes, light bulbs, TV tubes, window and auto glass, cookware. Clear glass only at curbside in the city of Roanoke and at drop-off site 6 7 10 11 12

Plastic soft drink bottles & opaque milk & water jugs.

Empty and rinse.  Many plastics have changed., Read the numbers carefully on the bottom of your plastic bottles – You are looking for #1 and #2 only to recycle. At curbside in Vinton and City of Roanoke, and at drop-off sites:
