About The Event
In the Star City Sustainability Series presentation, April Zhou, an instructor in the Virginia Tech School of Neuroscience, will explore recent research on how chemical pollution in waterways affect brain development and behavior in aquatic animals. She also will discuss possible ways to respond to these findings. Join us at CVC Headquarters in the Heights Community Church Welcome Center. Registration required.
Prior to entering higher education instruction, April Zhuo spent seven years conducting diabetes research at the University of Virginia and earned my Ph.D. in Nutrition from Virginia Tech. "During the pandemic, I began focusing more on my feelings and experiences rather than material possessions. This shift led me to believe that we can live happier lives with minimal environmental impact - perhaps even more fulfilled than before."
