Clean Valley Council will present Roanoke Earth Day Celebration 2026 in historic Grandin Village, Roanoke, Va., on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s Roanoke Earth Day Celebration theme is “Choose the Planet Over Plastic” to help raise awareness about our collective responsibility to be aware of just how much disposable plastic we use, to eliminate single-use plastics, and to understand the impacts on our environment, on human health, and of the rapidly spreading pollution from microplastics. The day empowers people and communities to take charge of protecting the planet.

Earth Day is a global movement. The Roanoke Valley has been celebrating it every year since the first one in 1970.
​As always, this year’s celebration is free and open to the public. It will feature:

Eco-Friendly Vendors - Browse unique, sustainable products and learn from local businesses committed to making a difference.

Local Artisans - Celebrate creativity with handmade goods and art from talented, local makers.

Live Entertainment - Enjoy performances that energize and unite the community.

Each year, Roanoke Earth Day Celebration attracts hundreds of visitors of all ages from throughout our region and beyond.
