Meet Jeremy Garrett

Jeremy Garrett serves as Director of Operations for the Roanoke Valley Resource Authority, overseeing daily operations, capital improvement projects, and long-term planning for regional solid waste facilities.

 

With more than 20 years of public sector experience, Jeremy is actively involved in every phase of the Authority’s work from design, development, and daily operations to budgeting, construction, and personnel management.

Jeremy manages facility operations and construction projects from concept through completion and serves as the primary point of contact for all regulatory and engineering matters.

 

A LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, Jeremy integrates sustainable practices into facility design and development. He is also a licensed drone pilot with experience in aerial mapping and photogrammetry, and applying these skills to landfill development, site planning, and construction monitoring.

 

Jeremy earned his Master of Business Administration and currently serves in officer roles with the Southwest Virginia Solid Waste Association and the Southwest Virginia Public Works Academy.
